Blue Leaf Detailing LLC Guarantee Warranty and Care Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
Blue Leaf Detailing LLC (“Blue Leaf,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) stands behind the quality of our work. This Policy explains how to report a service concern, what our workmanship coverage addresses, and how to care for detailing services, ceramic coatings, window tint, and paint protection film (“PPF”).
Read this Policy together with your estimate, invoice, product-specific warranty, and aftercare instructions. Product-specific written terms identify any additional coverage, duration, registration requirements, and maintenance schedule. This Policy does not create a universal lifetime warranty.
1 The Blue Leaf Guarantee
If we overlook an area included in your purchased service or you have a concern about our workmanship, contact us promptly. We will review the concern and, when an included area was missed or our workmanship needs correction, arrange an appropriate re-clean or correction of the affected work at no additional charge.
This guarantee concerns the service purchased and the work performed. It does not add services outside your package or promise complete removal of every stain, odor, scratch, defect, or contaminant.
We encourage you to inspect the vehicle at completion and preferably report visible service concerns within 24 hours. The 24-hour period helps us assess the original condition; it is not an absolute deadline that eliminates a valid warranty, damage claim, latent-defect claim, or legal right.
2 How to Report a Concern
Contact [email protected] or call (858) 769-6518. Include your name, appointment date, vehicle, affected area, and a description of the concern. Clear photographs or video are helpful when available.
Please give Blue Leaf a reasonable opportunity to inspect the area and address the concern. Before polishing, stripping, removing film, applying unfamiliar chemicals, or hiring another provider to correct the work, contact us where reasonably possible so the condition can be documented.
Immediate action needed for safety or to prevent further damage should not be delayed. Keep photographs, receipts, and other relevant records if urgent action is necessary.
We will explain our findings and the proposed resolution. If a re-clean or correction is unsuitable or cannot reasonably resolve the concern, we will consider an appropriate alternative, including an adjustment or refund when warranted or required by law. This process does not restrict nonwaivable remedies.
3 Workmanship Coverage and Its Duration
Blue Leaf workmanship coverage addresses defects attributable to our preparation, application, or installation of the service we performed. Ceramic application concerns may include improperly leveled coating residue or an installation-related problem on a treated surface. Tint and PPF concerns may include installation-related defects, subject to normal curing and the specific work purchased.
Any service-specific written Blue Leaf warranty will identify the covered work, its duration and start date, applicable conditions, and available remedy. The period stated in that written warranty governs that additional coverage.
An advertised coating protection term, expected product life, or manufacturer warranty period is not automatically the duration of a separate Blue Leaf workmanship warranty. If your paperwork does not identify a separate workmanship warranty term, contact us for clarification; we will still review concerns under our service guarantee and applicable law.
For a confirmed covered workmanship issue, Blue Leaf will correct, repair, or reapply the affected work at no additional charge as appropriate to the problem. Broader replacement, refunds, or other remedies depend on the written coverage, circumstances, and applicable law.
4 Conditions Outside Workmanship Coverage
Our workmanship coverage does not ordinarily cover a problem caused by:
- Pre-existing damage, worn materials, previous repairs, latent defects, or paint and clear-coat failure.
- Accidents, vandalism, scratches, rock chips, abrasion, or other damage occurring after service.
- Improper washing, abrasive tools, unsuitable chemicals, neglected contamination, or care contrary to the supplied instructions.
- Bird droppings, insects, sap, road chemicals, mineral deposits, hard-water spotting, or environmental etching unrelated to defective application.
- Body-shop work, repainting, polishing, film removal, or another treatment that damages or removes the installed protection.
- Normal wear, new dirt or spills, new odors, or conditions outside the scope of the service purchased.
A care issue or third-party service does not automatically cancel all coverage. We will consider the cause of the claimed problem, the applicable written terms, and the law. These exclusions do not excuse damage caused by Blue Leaf’s negligence or misconduct or limit rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
5 Detailing Results and Routine Care
Results depend on vehicle age, materials, condition, contamination, previous repairs, and the depth or permanence of defects. Some stains, dye transfer, worn fibers, odors, etching, scratches, or discoloration may remain despite appropriate professional treatment.
Paint correction improves appearance but may leave defects that cannot safely be removed. Ceramic protection does not make paint scratch-proof, chip-proof, water-spot-proof, or maintenance-free.
After interior shampooing or extraction, allow treated areas to dry fully with suitable ventilation before covering them. Avoid adding moisture to damp surfaces. Contact us if excessive moisture or an unusual condition persists.
New spills, continued contamination, or an odor source that remains in inaccessible materials may require additional work. An odor or remediation service has no universal permanent-removal guarantee unless separately provided in writing for that job.
6 Ceramic Coating Initial Care
Follow the curing instructions supplied for the exact product installed. Manufacturer-specific directions take priority over general timing guidance.
Unless the installed product’s instructions state otherwise, avoid washing for the first seven days. During the first 14 days, avoid abrasive products, polishing, waxing, or unfamiliar chemicals, and continue protecting the surface while it cures.
If water or contamination reaches the finish during curing, contact us for safe handling instructions. Promptly address bird droppings, bugs, or sap using an approved method; do not scrub a newly coated surface or leave damaging contamination untreated.
Once washing is permitted, use a gentle hand wash with coating-safe products and clean microfiber materials. Do not attempt to polish away a suspected coating high spot yourself.
7 Ongoing Ceramic Coating Care
- Hand wash with coating-safe products and clean wash media.
- Dry after washing to reduce mineral deposits and water spotting.
- Remove harmful contamination promptly using appropriate products.
- Avoid tunnel or touch washes, brushes, and abrasive cleaning methods.
- Avoid dish soap, harsh degreasers, aggressive chemicals, and unnecessary polishing.
- Ask Blue Leaf about compatibility before adding waxes, sealants, or other protection products.
Reduced water beading alone does not establish coating failure. Contamination can affect surface behavior and may require safe cleaning or decontamination before performance can be assessed.
8 Coating Maintenance and Inspections
Our standard Blue Leaf coating maintenance and inspection interval is every six months unless the written instructions for your coating specify otherwise. We recommend scheduling with Blue Leaf so the installation and maintenance records remain together.
Maintenance ordinarily involves a coating-safe wash, evaluation of bonded contamination, inspection of surface condition and water behavior, and documentation of findings. Additional treatment is discussed and authorized separately.
Where maintenance is a condition of an express Blue Leaf warranty, the requirement will be provided with that warranty. Keep dated service records. Equivalent documented care by another qualified provider will be considered where applicable; a manufacturer’s warranty may have its own authorized-inspector requirements.
Routine maintenance, decontamination, and inspection visits are separately priced unless expressly included in your purchase or written warranty. Work needed to correct a covered Blue Leaf workmanship defect is not charged as routine maintenance.
A six-month Blue Leaf visit does not automatically satisfy every manufacturer’s registration, annual inspection, or other requirement. Ask us to identify the applicable schedule and keep both sets of records.
9 Manufacturer Warranties and Registration
Select coatings, tint, and PPF may include a separate manufacturer warranty. Its provider, covered defects, duration, eligible surfaces, registration, inspection requirements, transferability, exclusions, and remedies depend on the product and written warranty.
We will identify any included manufacturer coverage and provide the applicable warranty information. Keep your invoice, product name, installation date, registration confirmation, and required inspection records.
System X or another manufacturer’s “lifetime” or multi-year coverage applies only when that specific product and installation qualify under the manufacturer’s terms. This Policy does not promise that every Blue Leaf coating qualifies for the same coverage.
Where a product offers a vehicle-history or CARFAX reporting feature, ask us about registration and submission. A vehicle-history entry is not itself a warranty certificate, and display is subject to the reporting service.
Manufacturer claims are determined under the manufacturer’s terms. Blue Leaf can assist with installation documentation and the claim process; a manufacturer’s denial does not automatically resolve a separate claim about Blue Leaf workmanship.
10 Window Tint Care
Follow the film-specific drying and curing instructions given at installation. Keep affected windows raised and avoid cleaning them for the period specified by your installer.
Temporary haze or moisture pockets can occur during drying. Do not press, puncture, scrape, or attempt to remove them. Contact us if a condition persists beyond the expected curing period, worsens, or appears to be lifting or damage.
Once cleaning is permitted, use a film-safe cleaner and soft microfiber cloth. Avoid blades, abrasive pads, adhesive objects, and products unsuitable for the installed film. Take care with seat belts and items that can strike or scratch tinted glass.
Do not assume that a film warranty covers glass damage, pre-existing scratches, or every installation condition. Your product documentation identifies the actual coverage.
11 Paint Protection Film Care
Follow the manufacturer’s and installer’s curing directions before washing or applying other products. Do not pick at film edges or attempt to reposition lifting film.
Use film-safe products and gentle hand washing. Keep pressure-washer spray away from film edges and seams and follow the installed film’s distance and pressure guidance.
Remove contamination promptly with compatible products. Avoid abrasive polishing, harsh solvents, or unapproved coatings. Contact us before treating matte or satin film, because some products change its appearance.
PPF reduces exposure to certain damage but is not damage-proof. Chips, impacts, scratches, pre-existing paint defects, and damage beneath the film may remain or occur. Any self-healing feature is limited to the product’s stated capability.
Report lifting, unusual discoloration, adhesive concerns, or damage promptly so we can assess the cause and available coverage.
12 Damage Claims and Documentation
If you believe Blue Leaf caused damage to a vehicle or property, notify us promptly after discovery. Provide reasonable documentation and allow inspection before nonurgent repairs where possible.
We may review pre-service photographs, work records, technician notes, maintenance history, and other relevant evidence. Blue Leaf remains responsible for damage caused by its negligence or misconduct to the extent required by law.
Vehicle photographs and service records are handled according to our Privacy Policy.
13 Scheduling and Policy Changes
Book maintenance or request assistance through the Blue Leaf app, online booking system, or our contact channels. Notify us before the due date if scheduling difficulties could affect a required inspection.
The coverage and conditions provided for your purchase govern that transaction. Later website updates do not retroactively reduce existing warranty rights. Any change applies only as lawfully agreed or required.
